High school experience helped me prove all my expectations created by watching high school movies and dramas wrong.
Even tho my expectations were just like every girl wants, like having a tall, good-looking boyfriend with a car, get excellent grades, be the face of the school in every field. Basically a high school superstar.

It has been 6 years since I graduated from high school and even though I can't rewind my life to bring back those days so that I can delete my mistakes.

So I have summed up 14 high school lessons my friends and I learnt from high school mistakes.. so you don’t have to.

#1. The favorite groups of high school are not always the best to follow

When I just a fresher, I wanted to be a part of the most popular group of, so I asked my elder sister, and she advised me to do more socializing physically and virtually like Instagram, Facebook and etc.
Wrong advice-I tried but was not about to do well in both the socializing fields, instead I found 6 girls who mean more than family to me even till now and forever.
Be with people who don’t want you to change but to accept you the way you are. Whether your best friends are in that favorite group or not its not necessary, as long as you share a close bond with them personally it's all good.

#2. Trust Your Gut Feeling

He will not tell you that on your face anymore, because he knows your busy working towards your career and he doesn’t want his love to get in the way for you to get distracted.

It’s you who have to squeeze time out to spend with him. Like eating Sunday morning breakfast together, go out with him to an ice cream parlour or even go on a long drive , just to give him that assurance that even tho you are busy, but you will always take time out to be with him assuring him you love him the same way he loves you to bits.

Yes, there are times when something urgent comes up, but make sure to let him know that you will make up that time sometimes again, you know to assure him that time of yours will not only make him feel loves but also would create a father-daughter bonding strong forever.

He still treats you like as if your even a small child. He keeps on regularly checking if you had your food on time or telling you something you told him to remind you. He doesn't let you out of his radar even though he knows you are an adult and independent.

It does sound like a third degree, but what you as his daughter need to understand that he has always been there from you being a newborn baby till a fully grown young girl. He had cleaned your toilet, fed you milk when you cried, made sure you get the best school/ university for a better future, always made sure you never had financial worries- just so that you can have a better life. So he just can't let go of that caring nature only because you have now grown up.

What you can do is assure him calmly that you are not a small baby anymore but a grown adult who take wise and responsible decisions. The best trick which always works is before even he calls you and asks where are you, be proactive and tell him where you are and you love him and assure him beforehand that you are safe.

Last but not the least you can never take that father character out of him. As a result, his father character would come out now and then, you just need to understand and calmly make him know to make him feel better.
